PATHWAY · FIRST NOTE
Step one: describe the problem
Good care starts with what is happening, not with a product name from an ad or a friend.

Use five prompts
- What change are you trying to understand or improve?
- When did it begin?
- What makes it better or worse?
- What care, medicines, or tests have already been tried?
- What would a useful result look like in daily life?
Add the context that can change a decision
Include pregnancy plans, sport or military rules, travel between states, and any trouble keeping medicine cold. These details can change which questions matter.
As of September 2026, online prescribing rules really do vary by state, so your physical location at the time of the appointment matters.
HHS state-licence guideDo not polish away uncertainty
“I do not know” is useful. So is “I saw this name online, but I do not know what it is.” A careful clinician can work with both.
