What supports each answer

Rules, prices, and product alerts can change. This guide keeps the source next to the claim so the path can be checked again.

Why dates stay visible

A date tells you when the claim was checked. It is not decoration. Short-lived prices, shortages, and telehealth rules need another check sooner than basic definitions.

Every fact on this site was taken from those records and is marked with the month it was checked.

What attribution means

“FDA says” is used only for an FDA statement. A guide’s explanation is labelled as an explanation. When the FDA writes to a company about a problem, this guide treats the letter as the FDA’s accusation against that company, not as a court’s ruling. Such a letter is a reason to ask questions, not proof of guilt.

As of September 2026, the FDA’s warning-letter search, which you can use by company name, notes that the problems described in a letter may have changed since it was sent, for example after the company replied.
