PATHWAY · INFORMATION AFTER INTAKE
Labs, exams, and follow-up
Testing is not a badge that makes care legitimate. It is useful when the result can answer a question or change a decision.
Ask what the test is for
- What question will this result answer?
- Could the result change the plan?
- Where will the test happen?
- Who will explain the result?
- What happens if it is outside the expected range?
As of September 2026, there is no general federal rule that requires “baseline” blood tests, meaning tests taken before treatment starts so later results can be compared, before every prescription.
Telemedicine standardsAs of September 2026, your state may still have its own rules, some medicines come with their own testing instructions, and the clinician must arrange a test or exam whenever your health history or symptoms mean more information is needed before deciding.
Telemedicine standardsFollow-up closes the loop
- A way to report a bad reaction or a delivery problem.
- A person who can explain results and next steps.
- A plan for review if the medicine is not helping.
- A route to in-person care when a screen is not enough.
Before paying, look for what happens after the package arrives. A checkout page is not a follow-up plan.
